Role: Senior Project Manager
Location: Chicago, Illinois | Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite
Salary: Up to $155,000 Base + Bonus + Benefits
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join an established Capital Projects team in Chicago, delivering projects across banking, high-end insurance, corporate headquarters and manufacturing environments.
Projects range from tenant improvements and renovations through to major asset replacements, including VRF systems, chillers and boilers.
I am particularly interested in speaking with Project Managers from a strong General Contractor background who are looking for greater client exposure, project ownership and genuine career progression.
The Role
You will take ownership of complex capital projects from pre-construction through delivery and closeout, with accountability across budget, schedule, procurement, quality and risk.
Projects typically range from $200K to $4M, offering plenty of variety and technical complexity.
Key Responsibilities

Lead capital projects from planning through completion.

Manage budgets, schedules, procurement, quality and risk.

Lead pre-construction, bids, estimates and contractor selection.

Manage design teams, contractors and third-party project resources.

Maintain strong financial control, forecasting and change management.

Manage contracts, scopes of work and purchase orders.

Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Identify project risks and drive practical solutions.

Lead project meetings and maintain strong oversight of delivery.
The Ideal Candidate

8+ years of construction / project management experience.

Strong General Contracting background.

Experience across renovations, TI and capital improvement projects.

Strong MEP and building systems knowledge.

Good commercial, financial and contract management experience.

Strong client and stakeholder management skills.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

PMP and/or LEED AP advantageous.

Able to work onsite three days per week and travel approximately 20%.
